The quake2 source code was released yesterday. I don't know if we must be happy or not. Anti-bot and anti-cheat programmers can maken better programs, but cheaters can make better cheats. Because they now know the source code, which programs much easier. You can download it here.
I also heard a rumor that ID Software will release a new version of q2, 3.21. But that's just a rumor for the moment.

As reported in the news we had a LAN party this weekend. apC, frS, sUb and I lanned al weekend, rAs could only come on day (saturday). You can read more in the report that will be up in a couple of days.

As you all probably know, there currently is an international Q2 duel league going on. Ofcourse some players of Clan 3 are participating: Vo0, Armin, TFoRcE and me (frS). As Armin and me are in a poule >10, we're starting soon, but Vo0 and TFoRcE have already played some duels. I don't remember the exact scores, but I think Vo0 has over 90 frags out only 2 duels (demos can be found here). TFoRcE has also won his first duel (also with a big margin). Way to go Vo0 and TFoRcE!

Clan 3 will have another LAN, this time not a MiniLAN as in the previous three, but a MidiLAN, because it will be 2 days instead of just 1.
It will be held Saturday 1 and Sunday 2 December, from 10am on Saturday till 8pm on Sunday, so that are 34 hours.
The biggest Clan 3 LAN ever!
The event will be held at Vo0's, pictures, demo's, movies and stuff will be up a couple of days after the LAN.

Some of you might be wondering what's happened to the 3-pe match. We decided to play it, but unfortunately pe didn't. They didn't have enough members and besides pe has split up.
Clan 3 has taken a break in official/cup matches and will focus on friendly matches and IRC fun. \o/

We played our match against CwF yesterday and we lost that one too. This means we can't make it to the playoffs anymore. It's been a nice cup (although a bit fucked up with member problems etc.). We still have to play against Public Enemy but we're not sure whether we're going to play it. The only reason I can think of is to make sure they don't progress to the playoffs either.
